I decide to take Belgrade open top tour out of sheer curiosity. Just like an experiment. And very successful one.
As born and raised in this city, I thought I knew all of the good things it has to offer. But this trip showed me how wrong I was. It starts at Kalemegdan fortress and goes around the whole area This is how I realized how big and beautiful it really is. Beneath it is Belgrade harbor with great view on two big rivers and gorgeous sunset. Rivers contribute with a totally different mystics and symbolism. Great place to spend your time. Just like I did back in days.
People are what this city is famous for. Wherever we were during the tour, they were waving at us and you simply do not have a choice than to wave back with a sincere smile and a lot of love in your heart. Because you can feel their love to you.
The least I could do is to give them some of it back.
Mix of Eastern and Western architecture and atmosphere, the meeting point of two different worlds. That’s the Belgrade I know and I love. Rich and turbulent history, beautiful and friendly people on the streets, great nightlife, museums and places to ease your mind. From Kosutnjak to the river houses-little oasis in the Pandemonium of the urban jungle.
This round trip brought back a lot of memories and filled me with a new energy and love for this city. Which is really something special and definitely worth seeing.
